Modern life can feel overwhelming. Many of us struggle with stress and anxiety, which can take a toll on our health, energy, and overall well-being.
According to the Mental Health Foundation, nearly three in four adults have felt so stressed that they’ve been unable to cope. Stress doesn’t just affect the mind—it can impact sleep, blood pressure, digestion, breathing, and mood, sometimes even leading to serious health issues. But with the right tools and strategies, we can begin to change this. In this two-hour in-person workshop, Laurent Roure gently guides you through accessible practices to support your nervous system, mind and body.
You’ll explore:
· Somatic movement – Gentle, mindful movement to help you feel more grounded and present.
· Breathwork – Simple techniques to soothe and regulate your nervous system by reconnecting and using your breath.
· Somatic meditation – Body-based mindfulness practices to ease tension and quiet the mind.
· Deep relaxation – Supportive exercises to help you rest, reset, and restore.
This session will help you find calm, relieve stress, build resilience, and reconnect with yourself. This approach aims to return to our peaceful and resilient ‘true nature’. No experience is needed. This workshop is open to all and offers a welcoming space for anyone looking for support with stress and anxiety and how to deal with our emotions during overwhelming times. Although this is not a substitute for professional care, it provides a nurturing and practical introduction to mind-body tools that can enhance your mental health journey.
Perhaps one or some of the techniques from this workshop will resonate with you, and you will apply them at home and in your daily life to combat emotional stress and anxiety.
